THE JOURNEY IS PART OF IT

Take the coastal road.

Four starting points, one little village. These are approximate driving distances and sensible time allowances, not live traffic predictions. Use Google Maps for the current route.

Follow the N1 north via the surf coast and Tamri, then the signed turn to Imsouane. Allow extra time for the winding village approach and scenic stops.

Travel south on the N1 via Tamanar and turn toward the coast for Imsouane. The last stretch is winding; daylight makes the scenery and road easier to read.

The airport is inland, southeast of Agadir. Pre-book a transfer with your host or arrange a rental car; agree the full fare and board luggage allowance before leaving.

Essaouira Mogador is south of the city and can be convenient if flights fit. Check arrival-time transfer options with your host rather than assuming taxis or shuttles are waiting.

GOOD TO KNOW

Choose your way here.

Rental car or private transfer

The most flexible option for airport arrivals. Confirm insurance, child seats if needed, final fare and surfboard carriage. Avoid arriving in a rush or driving unfamiliar bends at night.

Coastal shuttle

Souk to Surf lists coastal services. Stops, luggage rules and times vary—check the operator’s actual schedule for your date. Do not treat this guide as a timetable.

GOOD TO KNOW

Small things. Better travels.

Carry some dirhams. Small businesses may be cash-only; do not rely on an ATM in the village.

Dress respectfully away from the beach, ask before portraits, and support local businesses.

The Atlantic is not a pool. Check currents and swell with a qualified local instructor; never assume a beach is safe to swim.

Bring sun protection, a refillable water bottle and a warm layer for breezy evenings. Take your rubbish home.
